"When I paint or dye,
I step into my inner jungle

a space where instinct guides my hands

and reason gives way to freedom.
Colors wander, shapes emerge,
and the silk breathes its own life,
revealing what it was always meant to be."
- Sofía Luna

Our story

Selva & Flora was born from the vision of Colombian textile artist Sofía Luna,
who began hand-dyeing natural fibers in her kitchen
using pigments extracted from lunch scraps:
avocado skins, onion peels, coffee, and other natural treasures.
What started as an experiment soon became a calling.
Guided by a passion for nature’s raw colors and the poetry of imperfection,
Sofía took the leap to turn her craft into a brand.
Today, Selva & Flora transforms pure silk into one-of-a-kind pieces,
hand-painted
and dyed to carry
the soul of the jungle
into every stitch.

Circularity is at the heart of our purpose.

We partner with local restaurants to recover organic waste and transform it into rich, natural pigments for our textiles.

Our vision is to expand these collaborations across many regions, creating a network of communities connected by creativity, sustainability, and the art of transformation

Our Atelier

Nestled in a countryside house surrounded by the Colombian mountains, our atelier is where each textile comes to life.

Here, in the quiet rhythm of nature, every piece is painted, dyed, and crafted entirely by hand

Infused with the colors, textures, and spirit of the land that surrounds us.

Our emblem,

the jaguar,

is a mystical guardian in ancient legends

a creature said to have been created by the Sun to bring order to the Earth.

It watches over the land by day and night,

Its strength and presence are a reminder of balance and protection.

the markings on its skin echo the sun’s rays, carrying the power of light and life.

In Selva & Flora, the jaguar embodies our mission:

to honor and protect the natural world while carrying its spirit into every piece we create.

Selva y Flora

We create silk treasures carrying the spirit of nature

and shaped by the heart of the maker.
